The short version: we collect the information you send us through the contact form or by email, we use it only to reply to you and do the work, and we never sell it or share it with anyone. There are no tracking pixels or advertising cookies on this site.

01Who we are

Openline ("we", "us") is a web design studio operated by Openline in YOUR STATE, United States. We build websites for local businesses. This policy covers openlinecorp.com and any site or preview we host on your behalf.

02What we collect

Information you give us directly. When you submit the contact form or email us, we receive your name, business name, email address, the type of business you selected, and whatever you write in the message field. If we go on to work together, we also receive whatever you send us to build the site — your hours, prices, photos, and business details.

Technical information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server information for every visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed, and the time of the request. This is normal web server activity and is used for security and to keep the site running.

03What we don't collect

  • We don't run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.
  • We don't collect payment card details. If you hire us, payment is handled by a third-party processor and we never see or store your card number.
  • We don't buy contact lists or scrape personal data to add to a database.
  • We don't ask for or store sensitive information — no government ID numbers, health information, or financial account details.

04How we use it

We use your information for exactly three things:

  • To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
  • To build the preview and, if you go ahead, the finished website.
  • To send you invoices and project updates while we're working together.

We do not send marketing newsletters. If we ever want to, we'll ask you to opt in first.

05Who else touches your data

We keep this list as short as we can. The companies below process some of your information because it is technically necessary to run the site:

  • Cloudflare — hosts this website and routes our email. Server logs and inbound mail pass through their infrastructure.
  • Google Fonts — the typefaces on this site load from Google's servers, which means your browser makes a request to Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
  • Our email provider — messages you send us land in a standard email inbox and are stored there.

We may also share information if the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid legal request. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any reason.

If you add anything: the moment you connect a form backend like Formspree, turn on analytics, or start using a scheduling tool, that company belongs on this list. Come back and add it.

06Cookies and tracking

This site does not set cookies and does not use tracking pixels, advertising tags, or session recording. Your colour theme preference is not stored — it resets each visit, which is why the site follows your device setting by default.

07How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't turn into projects are kept for up to 12 months in our email, then deleted. Records for actual projects — contracts, invoices, and the files we built — are kept for 7 years because tax rules require it. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, except where we're legally required to keep it.

08How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS. Accounts holding your information are protected with two-factor authentication and unique passwords. Access is limited to the people doing your work.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't pretend otherwise. If a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you promptly and directly.

09Your rights

Whatever state or country you're in, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that's wrong.
  • Delete your information.
  • Send you a copy of what you gave us.

Email us and we'll action it within 30 days. We won't charge you and we won't treat you differently for asking. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA, and residents of the EU or UK have rights under the GDPR; the same email address handles all of them.

10Client customer data

If we build a website for your business, that site may collect information from your customers — usually just a contact form. In that situation you are responsible for how that information is handled, and you should have your own privacy policy on your site. We only access it to build and maintain the site, and we never use your customers' details for anything of our own.

11Children

This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

12Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email, we'll tell you directly rather than expecting you to notice.

13Contact
